The nastarang is a different musical instrument which looks like “shahnai“. now a days it’s players are so rare because it is not an easy to play musical instrument.

Maniram Pathrod from Neemuch, M.P. came to Shabaash India from utter pradesh who is an expert in playing nastarang. the name nastarang came because it is a instrument which can be played with the help of nerves of the neck near the tonsils. 

we can say : Nas + Tarang = Nastarang.

Maniram ji came to the show with two other persons who played dholak and harmonium and they played the song “E Mere Pyaare Watan, Tujpe Dil Kurban” that was so nice . all people was so happy to listen this amazing musical instrument’s sound.
